Magtec will work with customers to help identify the correct drive system to meet the required vehicle performance specification.
Vehicle electrical installation design
Magtec routinely undertakes the electric system installation design including all interfaces with the existing vehicle systems to meet the required EMC and safety standards. This will normally include the vehicle control system software development including CAN network interfaces and bridges.
Vehicle mechanical installation design
Magtec will work with a customer’s design team to develop the mechanical installation of the drive system into a vehicle. Magtec will also undertake the complete mechanical installation design if requested.
Vehicle conversion
Magtec will undertake the drive system installation into new vehicles or the conversion of existing vehicles at our fully equipped workshop facilities in Sheffield. For large number of conversions Magtec works with a number of specialist vehicle converters.
Certification
Magtec have worked closely with the VCA, VOSA and numerous POTFs / test facilities to assist in vehicle certification. Magtec are also experts in achieving compliance with the required European and US regulations such UNECE Reg 100, Reg 10, Reg 13 and other FMVSS standards.
Vehicle commissioning and tuning
Where a customer decides to undertake the first off installation of the drive system, Magtec will provide on-site support during the commissioning and evaluation phases of the project.
After market service and support
Magtec has a highly skilled service department which together with our remote diagnostic tools allows us to provide after sales service and support worldwide. Magtec will also provide training to vehicle fleet operators or vehicle OEM's service agents as required.
